3. Heat treatment process of high chromium cast iron Castings And Forgings
(1) The commonly used heat treatment process of high chromium cast iron is heated to 950~1000℃, and then quenched after heat preservation and air cooling 200~260℃ low temperature tempering.
(2) High temperature pelletizing treatment 1140~1180℃ for 16h air cooling, can significantly improve the impact toughness and wear resistance. The high temperature pelletizing treatment can make all carbides spheroid, which can eliminate or reduce the separation effect of large bulk and continuous network carbides on the matrix. The carbides spheroidized by the pelletizing are supported by more uniform matrix, especially by a certain amount of austenite. If the holding time is properly reduced, the effect can also be achieved on thin section parts. The disadvantage of this process is that it consumes more heat energy.
4. High chromium cast iron Castings And Forgings Applicable products
High chromium cast iron (CR14-30%) has the best wear resistance and is widely used, such as small and medium-sized mill linings, balls and segments, small crusher hammers and plate hammers, vertical mill rollers and discs, etc. After THE roller press is installed IN front of the large mill, the high chromium cast iron can enhance its advantages and avoid its disadvantages, and give full play to its excellent wear resistance. The service life of the lining board can reach more than 8 years.
The hardness and toughness of low chromium cast iron (CR1.5-3%) are much lower than that of high chromium cast iron. It is mainly used in ball, section and fine grinding bin lining board. The advantage is low production cost, the disadvantage is narrow application range, general comprehensive performance and wear resistance index. Medium chromium cast iron (CR8-14%) is only used for casting ball, reduce chromium content, can reduce production costs, can also be full of football breakage rate indicators, the market is still called high chromium ball.
